May 12, 2014 : 2200 lifeguards trained for this summer

THE MOHAMMED VI FOUNDATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION, ANAPEC, AND THE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF CIVIL DEFENSE ORGANIZE A TRAINING FOR 2200 SEASONAL LIFEGUARDS FOR MOROCCO'S BEACHES.

Starting from Monday 12th of May, lifeguards supervising Moroccan beaches this summer, will have a training of 30hours provided by the ANAPEC, and civil protection. It is not a question here of learning techniques of rescue at sea, for which, most of them were trained, but to learn to communicate and behave during the performance of their tasks.

2200 lifeguards are concerned this year by the seventh training cycle, against 1663 last year. They will take up their posts in the framework of the 13th season of Clean Beaches, program of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection.

The Foundation works on professionalizing the profession of lifeguards, to reinforce summer residents' security on beaches. The security is also one of the principles criteria on which Clean Beaches are evaluated to obtain the Blue Flag.
