5th international symposium on Monaco and the Mediterranean: Water focus, held from March 26-29, 2009 in Monaco.
The Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection participated in the 5th International Symposium on Monaco and the Mediterranean (RIMM), with a priority focus on water, held from March 26 – 29, 2009 in Monaco.
Morocco was the country of honor at the 5th International Symposium on Monaco and the Mediterranean. Participation as the guest of honor at these meetings provided the opportunity to share its hydro history to a wider audience and initiate an international awareness campaign to preserve and enhance sustainable development.
Ms. Bennani, Morocco's Ambassador to UNESCO, said that Morocco is developing a new political movement, thanks to social and economic reforms initiated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI. According to Ambassador Bennani, the Kingdom's policy aims at putting an end to local differences and is committed to building the rule of law: “The values advocated today in Morocco”, she said, “are consistent with those of Monaco in particular and the European Union in general.
