Foundation Mohammed VI for Environmental Protection participated in the National Research Days on “the Future Coast” organized by the National Association of Elected Coastal Representatives (ANEL), in Bastia from Wednesday, September 29 to Sunday, October 3, 2010. The event brought together over 200 participants (experts, international and regional institutions, private operators, local representatives, and government officials) to discuss viewpoints, understand trends and find solutions in order to balance coastal protection and its economic development. This event was an opportunity for the Foundation to share its coastal management experience through the Clean Beaches program, in particular with the Senegal and Martinique delegations, to create cooperation and partnership in this area.

For the 2025 edition, 45 beaches had submitted their applications, illustrating the growing interest of coastal communities in this label, recognized for its contribution to sustainable tourist attractiveness and the promotion of territories.
