Their records and written submissions awarded reveal their vision of their environment. Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa chaired on April 28, 2012 at the National Library of Morocco in Rabat (BNRM) the ceremony to celebrate 10 years of the program “Young Reporters for the Environment “.
Alongside this celebration, an exhibition entitled “another glance to the environment” was organized by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection which is behind this project.
Young Reporters for Environment is an educational program designed for students who investigate a topic related to their immediate environment (waste, water, energy, agriculture, cities, coasts, biodiversity, solidarity) under the supervision of their professors.
The main objective is to educate the youth from 12 to 18 years old to the protection of the environment and sustainable development throughout a journalistic activity, as being future advocates and opinion leaders in terms of the protection of environment.
Since its launch in 2002, more than 17 000 high school students across the Kingdom, investigated and developed inquiries on subjects related to environmental themes. After the BNRM and ISIC, the exhibition will stop over the Marrakech Palais des Congrès on the occasion of Seventh World Environmental Education Congress organized by the Foundation (www.weec2013.org).
The Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection and the Higher Institute of Information and Communication (ISIC) of Rabat invite you therefore to visit the exhibition throughout this period.
Entrance is free.
