Rehabilitation of the Hermitage Park in Casablanca, created between 1917 and 1927 by architect Henri Prost, was completed in May 2011. This 12 hectare park houses gardens from around the world featuring plants typical of three continents (Africa, America and Australia) as well as an educational trail.

Created in 1920 by architects Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier and Henri Prost, Parc de l'Hermitage was first and foremost a horticultural garden, irrigated by a spring. It had long fed neighboring populations before being surrounded by urbanization and falling into decay.

After two and a half years of rehabilitation by the Foundation, the now exceptional tree heritage has been preserved. True to creators' designs, rehabilitation opened up and connected the park to surrounding districts and major arteries through its main entrances, using Casablanca's palette of emblematic plants: palm trees, ficus and araucarias.

The park was also re-interpreted for pedagogical purposes, with its gardens from three continents: Africa, America and Australia. The pedagogical garden provides schools with small plots to plant. Schoolchildren learn to identify plants and are made aware of environmental protection. A pedagogical well makes it possible to tackle the theme of water.
