In this context, a mission of national and French scientist experts is expected in Nador from 30 May to 11 June, to conduct missions in the lagoon. These missions, which will be accompanied by exchange workshops are organized by the Foundation in collaboration with the High Commission for Water and Forests and the fight against desertification, the Agency MarchicaMed, the French Academy of Space and coastal lake shores, the Agence de l’Eau Rhône Méditerranée & Corse and national academics.
Experts will conduct several field missions. The waters of the lagoon will be
thoroughly analyzed to determine the heavy metals and pesticides content of areas identified as sensitive.
For a better understanding of the biodiversity of the lagoon, its bottom will be
mapped and its species identified by divers.
Details of these meetings will be posted on the Foundation website.
