During its intervention, the Foundation reminded the participants that through its program Qualit’air, she developed a carbon footprint tool adapted to Morocco context through a cooperation agreement with ADEME, it is an important tool for raising awareness of public and private sectors on the greenhouse effect and climate change.
The tool in question has been tested by the Foundation and applied for CO2 emissions to compensate them during the 7th World Congress on Environmental Education (WEEC), held in Marrakech in June 2013, bringing together more than 2600 participants from 105 countries and attended by the General Directors of UNESCO, ISESCO and UNEP.
The Foundation had played the role of initiator; the tool will be transferred as part of the partnership agreement with the CGEM. This will allow stakeholders (territories, businesses, governments and individuals …) to have, for the first time in Morocco a management tool made at international standards.
Participated in this event, various Moroccan and French personalities including Moroccan Minister for the Environment, the delegated President of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of the Environment, President of ADEME, the Governor Director at the General Direction of Local collectivities, the President of MAZEN, the Director General of the CGEM and finaly the vis-president of Managem Group.
