The chosen topic for 2008/2009 was “Environment: a local issue.”

The awarded school districts are:

Souss-Massa-Daraa; Marrakech-Tensift-El Haouz; Greater Casablanca; Fez-Boulemane; Oued Eddahab-Lagouira; Tangier-Tetouan; Rabat-Salé-Zemmour-Zaer.

Nearly 2,000 students from 16 academies participated. The mandated jury carefully considered a total of 129 written reports and 625 photographs. *

As in previous years, three articles and five photographs that won awards in Morocco were submitted to the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) International Jury in Paris, which has awarded:

– The International Prize for the “Cities” category for High School students at Chefchaouni Abdallah in Fes for their investigation on: The Ain Noqbi phenomenon.

This edition was distinguished by the relevance of topics and the clarity of photo reporting, which demonstrates the impact of the Young Environmental Reporters program on our young student awareness about environmental issues. The program’s regionalization has also significantly increased participation.
