FAQ

 

1- Does the congress will produce proceedings, book or other format of publication?

Proceedings containing final papers presented during the Congress will be produced from the manuscripts received from authors and will be published on the congress website: www.weec2013.org

2-    To submit a proposal, do I need to register first? For registration, are all participants expected to pay the fees? Or are presenters/facilitators not expected to pay any fees?

All participants, including presenters are expected to pay the registration fees.

 

You need to register in order to upload your abstract. You can pay the registration fees later. The payment of registration fees is needed to present your paper/round table, poster or workshop

3-    Will you make any fellowships or grants available for participants or speakers from low income countries to attend the congress?

If you wish to apply for sponsorships, please forward your cv to the congress organizers at: secretariat@environmental-education.org“>secretariat@environmental-education.org.

In any case, grants will be able to support an extremely limited number of requests. For this reason, we encourage you to search for funds yourself.

 

4-    Is there the possibility of “prise en charge” in terms of accommodation?

The organizers are trying to identify the possibility of accommodation at discounted rates. Meanwhile, please, send us your cv or information about your organization.

5-    How much is the registration fee for members of NGO?

Different registration fees are foreseen for the participation in the congress. You can you can find them at the page (http://www.weec2013.org/en/registration/registration-fees.html) of our website. NGO members are classified as “regular” in each of the four subgroups.

6-    Do you have some information about the WEEC program?

If you wish to receive information on the WEEC program, please register on the congress website. In this way you will receive our Newsletter!

7-    Is it possible to send an oral paper and a workshop?

Yes, you can send a maximum of two (2) proposals among oral presentations, workshops, round tables and posters.

8-    I am a student but I passed the age of 26: am I entitled to a reduced fee?

Yes, all students are entitled to pay a reduced fee, even if they have passed the age of 26 provided that they prove their student status, providing us with a scanned copy of your student identification card or, in the case of PhD students, a letter of your university department.

9-    I am under 26 years old but I am not a student, is that I am entitled to the same reduction?

Yes, all participants up to the age of 26 are entitled to a reduction in registration fees.

 

10- How can I know how much I do have to pay in terms of registration fees?

The registration fees to be paid for the 7th WEEC vary according to your country of residence. Countries have been classified in 3 groups. group A, group B and group C. To know which group your country belongs click here.

A reduced fee is applicable for students and young people under 26 years old.

In any case, the online payment system will calculate and the fee you have to pay

 

11- What is the 7th WEEC about?

All contributions (papers, posters, roundtables, workshops, etc.) have to be consistent with one of the 11 thematic axes. Click here.

12- Is the congress theme mandatory for my contribution?

No, the congress theme is the recommended focus, but it is possible to treat different issues not regarding specifically environmental education in urban and rural areas, provided that they are consistent with one of the 11 thematic axes. Click here

 

13- I registered to the Congress but there is a problem in my Registration. How can I do to change some information in my profile?

When you create an account you can also change the information of your profile. In order to do that you have to login with user and password, then on the right side you find the User MENU, click on User PROFILE (about your personal details) or My PROFILE (about curriculum and photo), change your details and update.
