  • Installation of energy saving light bulbs;
  • Implementation of an energy saving oven in the school, designed for environmental protection;
  • Manufacturing a grill fueled by solar energy.

The Monitoring Committee is represented by students, teachers, school management, and parents, reflecting a wide variety of origins, objectives, representations and interests.

By way of reminder, the Eco-Schools program is geared to contribute to the students’ education, i.e. our future eco-citizens, through direct involvement thereof in the management of schools by integrating the concepts of sustainable development, particularly in terms of reduction of energy and water costs and improved waste management.

During the visit to the environmental club, explanations were given to Her Royal Highness in connection with projects dealing with sorting and recycling of waste emanating from the school.

Her Royal Highness was also shown drip irrigation of plants by recovery of rainwater and the various stages of the water cycle.

In November 2006, the program was launched in Morocco, in its pilot phase involving 8 471 students and 17 schools across 9 regions of the Kingdom.
