This action aims to promote environmental and sustainable development education through active participation of students in schools to strengthen ecological behaviors and promote sustainable management of natural resources.
The workshop will involve 13 schools in the M’diq-F’nideq province and will focus on topics such as the Eco-Schools process, the role of educational stakeholders in the Eco-Schools program implementation, and the presentation of the RBIM medicinal and aromatic plants study results.
This workshop is part of the activities to which Her Royal Highness expresses a special interest as it aims to promote environmental education and sustainable development through personal experience and the awakening of the youth’s civic consciousness.
The Eco-Schools program, initiated internationally by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), which Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection joined in July 2002, is led in Morocco in partnership with the Ministry of Education through a partnership agreement signed on April 24, 2010 during the Earth Day celebration. This program is based on a participatory approach energized by the teaching team’s educational component, which is based on five areas of work: waste management, water conservation, energy conservation, food, and biodiversity.
