Given the evolution of high school students’ participation in recent editions, in terms of number and quality, and the competition’s positive impact in developing creativity and improving youth awareness about the environmental situation in our country, the best work this year will participate in two competitions:
– National Competition: organized by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection enables the diffusion of award-winning reports and photos in the national press, while providing the opportunity to participate in competitions and international events on environmental issues. Like previous years, the award-winning work in Morocco will be presented to the International Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) jury in Paris.
– Regional Competition: It will present the best work submitted in Arabic to the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) jury to participate in the ISESCO contest for students in Morocco, Jordan, Tunisia and Syria.
The preservation of forest wealth has been selected as the theme for both competitions. Participation aims to:
• Emphasize the importance of environmental preservation and development of forest parks in our country and the need to ensure sustainable forest management;
• Emphasize the importance of the forest and the environmental, social and economic roles it plays as well as efforts necessary for its preservation.
