As such, the Fm6e has been approached by other agencies to develop a work plan and initiate new partnerships such as the Qatar Foundation, the Botanic Gardens Conservation International (UK) and the Spanish Ministry of the Environment.

The objective of this seminar was to strengthen the environmental and social functions of botanic gardens, ensuring that they play a role in cultural identity and sustainable development; to create a framework for international cooperation with the new MEDOMED; and promote local projects, which are among the primary agents for environmental and cultural preservation in the Mediterranean and Middle East.
