These workshops will be held on 20 and 21 November 2013 in Tetouan and the province of Larache within the framework of the projects implementation activities to support the consolidation and sustainability of the Intercontinental Biosphere Reserve of the Mediterranean project.
It will be also an occasion to present the Foundation objectives through:
• the development of an ethic of individual and collective responsibility for the conservation and management of coastal beaches and Morocco;
• the Transmission and the emergence of skills to enable local actors to respond to environmental challenges in the region;
• the identification, sharing and dissemination of good practices and environmentally friendly technologies;
• and especially, the awareness and education for sustainable development as a societal objective.
These workshops will also introduce participants to the status of the project RBIM, debate on “safeguarding the coast” including through the presentation of the “Clean Beaches” and “Blue Flag” program initiated by the Foundation and finally to exchange on the issue of sewerage and waste management.
The Foundation will also take this opportunity to discuss the progress of the project RBIM.
In order to consolidate the achievements of the project “RBIM” and themes discussed in this workshop, participants will lead to different recommendations and establish a summary of highlights and the modalities of their implementation.
