Nearly 2,000 students from 16 school districts participated by submitting 130 written reports and 302 photos, which were carefully considered by the jury.

This edition was characterized by the organization of workshops highlighting the exchange of good environmental practices and the reinforcement of networking actions among different actors concerned by the program, especially students and their professors, provincial and regional coordinators in order that they discuss and share the reality of environmental issues.
Each year the program ends with the national awards. The winners’ work that was awarded by the national jury is then sent to the FEE to compete at the European level that granted:
The 1st international written report age category 15-18 years old to the students: Imane Ouaali, Ghalia Mazouz, Kaoutar Makhoukhi, Meriam Marghich and Soumia El Ghoumari from Mohammed Abdelkarim El Khattabi high school, Oriental region, Nador delegation, for their report entitled: « Kebdana Forest: 1810 Hectares have become history.»
After joining the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) in July 2002, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection implemented the Young Reporters for the Environment Program in partnership with the Ministry of Education.
This program is an international network of teachers and high school students who investigate, under the guidance of their teachers, an environmental theme related to their surroundings (waste, water, energy, agriculture, cities, coasts, biodiversity, and solidarity.).
