Side event at COP28 : Tracking Africa’s Climate Journey: Successes and Opportunities

The aim of this event is to support a forward looking and solutions-oriented approach to the Global Stocktake. We will address the African stocktake by changing the narrative for Africa. Africa needs adaptation and finance, but Africa can also be a continent of solutions. Therefore we want to showcase innovative, meaningful and impactful climate solutions led by local authorities, private sector, and civil society to build more resilient communities for the continent and the world. We will showcase African startups from the African Youth Climate Hub (AYCH) incubation program. We will also illustrate the action led by financial institutions as enablers to support and accelerate climate action and resilence.
