webinar “For a rebound through green economy”

The Hassan II International Center for Environmental Training organized a webinar on May 18, 2020 on the theme of “For a rebound through green economy” with the Keynote participation of Mr. Said Mouline, Director General of the Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency which assured during its intervention that “We are fortunate that there is a vision at the highest level which gives priority to sustainable development in the kingdom. In the current context, it is not a question of relaunching by taking advantage of a low oil price, which is moreover only provisional, but rather proposing new orientations centered on green economy thus helping the job creation and decarbonization in our country”.  Two ambassadors of the African Youth Climate Hub Initiative also participated as panelists: Ms. Aminetou Bilal, member of the Youth Advisory Council of the African Union who affirmed that “The green economy today represents an economic model obeying the rules and principles of climate action in Africa. The African continent emits only 3.2% of greenhouse gases but remains active in the field of climate action” and Mr. Delphin Kaze, Chairman and CEO of Kaze Green Economy who shared his vision on green entrepreneurship “Green entrepreneurship remains an essential tool for the development of green economy on the African continent”.

Nearly 80 participants were able to benefit from diverse perspectives and expertise and interact with the speakers using dynamic digital tools. Thus, 97% of participants shared their opinion, through a live survey, that green economy was an appropriate incentive and an important opportunity for the African youth.
