For the second year in a row, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection, will take part in the 28th edition of the International Publishing and Book Fair (SIEL), which will be held in Rabat from June 1st to 11th, 2023.
The Foundation carries out actions to raise awareness of the environment with the public of the fair, especially the young, to make them visitors aware of the preservation of the oceans, the conservation of biodiversity, the sustainable management of natural resources, the fight against climate change, while transmitting good environmental protection practices.
The Foundation holds a stand designed in a museum spirit, where it will receive, during the ten days of the exhibition, the public to expose its educational and awareness-raising actions through numerous digital exhibitions. The stand also exhibits “the beach library” offering reading and early childhood spaces.
In honor of the World Environment Day celebrated on Monday 5th June, 350 schoolchildren, middle and high school students from different regions of the kingdom will be invited by the Foundation to visit the Fair and participate in the workshops it runs.
The Foundation will indeed organize and animate an “Ouled Bladi” meeting space, and a digital workshop, supervised by experts and professionals for the benefit of Young Reporters for the Environment. The outcome of the workshops will be presented on Thursday 8 June, on the sidelines of World Ocean Day.
Preschool and primary schoolchildren from Eco-Schools will benefit from drawing, storytelling, heritage, and Sustainable Development workshops as well as an early childhood library. These activities will be led by the Foundation’s partners.
