The Hassan II International Center for Environmental Training organized a dedicated training day for the facilitators of the B7ar Bla Plastic operation, as part of the Plages Propres programme. This initiative builds on ongoing awareness-raising efforts aimed at preserving the coastline and combating plastic pollution, in line with the goals of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.
The session brought together 60 participants, representing civil society organizations, institutional partners, and economic actors, all engaged in the animation of beach villages. The training was structured into dynamic sequences combining theoretical input, practical workshops, and real-life simulations, following a pedagogical approach based on active participation, creativity, and hands-on experience.
At the heart of the training were the key issues of ocean conservation, single-use plastic pollution, educational animation techniques, and mastery of the Foundation’s educational tools. Participants explored flagship sequences such as The Living Ocean, The ABCs of Sorting, Reinventing Waste, and Plastic Through Time, designed to raise young people’s awareness through playful and adapted approaches.
The post-training evaluations confirmed the effectiveness of the programme: the average score increased from 72% before the training to 76% after, reflecting a solid reinforcement of knowledge. Satisfaction levels regarding content relevance, skill acquisition, and applicability in the field all exceeded 60%, with most participants expressing strong engagement and motivation.
Beyond knowledge transfer, this training strengthened the facilitators’ capacity to deliver structured messages, engage children and youth in concrete actions, and foster a lasting link between education and environmental action.
