The partnership will allow on one hand the networking and the capacity building of six Eco-schools in Tangier which have been participating for several years in the program Eco-schools carried out jointly by the Mohammed VI Foundation for environmental Protection and the Ministry of national Education and the vocational training, and on the other hand, the support of a seventh school recently enrolled to the program Eco-schools, in the region of Fes.
During the year 2017, the seven Eco-schools will lead actions of networking, raising awareness and capacities building on themes developed for obtaining the label Green Flag, as water, energy and waste management. Besides, an environmental upgrade of these schools will allow the rehabilitation of their green spaces and will improve their energy performance. Also, this collaboration will contribute to the realization of educational tools.
All the beneficiary schools are situated in areas adjoining the multinational sites. These Eco-schools are Ibn Zaidoune, Al Moujahidine, Ibn Toumart, Abdellah Ibrahim, Hjar Nhal and Rabia Al Adaouia in Tangier, as well as the school Allal Ibn Abdellah in Taounate, rural area of Rghioua, region of Fes.
