Hassan II International Center for Environmental Training held a webinar on waste management under the B7arblaplastic initiative, on April 13, 2020.  In this online workshop, urban waste management expert, Mustapha BRAKEZ, provided insights into waste management and disposal regulations (Law 28-00) to the 55 economic partner and coastal municipality representatives in attendance.

The issue of medical waste management, notably masks and gloves in the Covid-19 health crisis context, was addressed.  Recommendations included: waste sorting at source and valorization, which are not yet generalized nationwide, as well strengthening suitable recycling processes and methodologies.
