On March 25th, the Green Time workshops were launched at the Hassan II International Center for Environmental Training, in celebration of World Water Day. This event gathered 60 primary and preschool Eco-schools students for an immersive learning experience where nature became both the classroom and the teacher.

Through learning by doing and nature-based learning approaches, the children explored the significance of plants and water through a series of hands-on activities:

• Germination Test: An experimental workshop that demonstrated the vital role of water in seed growth, directly connected to the theme of the day.
• Seed Bomb Creation: Students crafted seed bombs, which were then sent to other Green Time regions, promoting urban greening and encouraging the exchange of life across distances between young participants.
• Sensory Exploration of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants: A playful and educational activity for younger children, including coloring of aromatic and medicinal plants and a specially designed permaculture game suited to their age.
• Permaculture Game for Primary Students: A fun introduction to the principles of permaculture, enhanced by educational tools developed by the Green Education Factory at the Hassan II International Center for Environmental Training, including a permaculture game, a practical permaculture guide, and the Little Botanist’s Notebook.
• Permaculture Planting and Discovery of Composting and Propagation: Practical steps to understand the basics of sustainable gardening.

This event showcased the power of hands-on learning and the importance of passing on practical skills, helping young participants grasp environmental challenges and recognize the urgent need to take action to protect nature.
