Created in the 18th century by Sultan Moulay Abdallah, this prestigious garden has suffered the unfortunate consequences of consecutive droughts since the end of the past century.

Located in the heart of the city of Fez, the Jnane Sbil Park forms a link between Fez el Bali (the old town) and Fes Jdid (the new city). Jnane Sbil covers an area of 7.5 hectares, which can once again offer residents and visitors a genuine green space in the city center.

The rehabilitation was conducted with respect for the original garden design and the original creator’s intentions, while ensuring the park’s traditional charm and ambience.

In alignment with the Fm6e mission and the will of its President, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, to instill an environmental culture among our youngest citizens, and in partnership with the French Institute in Fez, an original program was developed at Jnane Sbil Park, where students from seven schools in Fez Jdid create Ephemeral Gardens with the guidance of landscapers.

Several areas have been designed, namely the: Majorelle garden, Arab-Andalusian garden, French garden, Labyrinth Garden, Oriental Garden, Mexican Garden, Jardin des Simples, Garden of the Sahara, and Indian Garden.

The Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection, with the assistance of authorities and local elected officials, has mobilized various partners (DGCL, the Municipality of Fez Boulmane region, Fez Council City, ONEP, Morocco Cooper, MAROCLEAR, MAMDA-MCMA, Group ADDOHA, and Group JAMAI) who agreed to lend their support to preserve and restore our priceless green heritage.
