Sub-regional workshop "For a better air quality in North Africa." Tunis, Tunisia. November 23-25, 2009.
The Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection (Fm6e) participated in the sub-regional workshop on Air Quality in North Africa, organized by the Observatory of the Sahara and Sahel (OSS), the United Nations Program for Environment (UNEP) and the Tunisian Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, held from November 23-25, 2009 in Tunis.
As an NGO, the Fm6e was asked by organizers to present its role and share its experience with North Africa in the fight against air pollution. Its participation consisted of a presentation entitled "Role of Civil Society, a Moroccan perspective" focused mainly on Fm6e’s establishment of the Qualit'Air Program, environmental education, its various phases and recently completed programs, namely the Eco-business and Voluntary Carbon Compensation Programs.
Following this presentation and the various discussions with participants, it was agreed to consider opportunities for Fm6e partnership and / or collaboration in order to further develop experience and to serve the region with the mobilization and training of its human resource potential.
