The Foundation holds awareness-raising and training workshops as part of its two programs: Eco-schools and Young Reporters for the Environment for the academic year 2023-2024

On February 7, 2024, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection launched the 2023-2024 edition of awareness-raising and training workshops within the scope of its two main educational programs: Eco-Schools and Young Reporters for the Environment. This initiative is carried out in partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, the 12 regional education and training academies of the Kingdom.

These annual workshops, spanning three days, are organized for participants in the programs from the twelve regions of the country. They include individuals who participated in the previous edition to share and appreciate their experiences, ensuring that new participants benefit from the knowledge gained. The first day of the training workshops is dedicated to learners from public and private school newly of the training workshops is dedicated to learners in the eco-schools program. The second day focuses on Moroccan youth, through workshops dedicated to participants in the Young Reporters for the Environment Program. The three-day session culminates with the Green Flag ceremony, symbolizing the success of schools that successfully implemented the Eco-Schools program over a 3-year seasons, following the progressive process.

As for the updates for this academic season, The Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection organized motivational sessions and ice-breaking activities facilitated by experts in self-development and innovative activation techniques. These were designed based on the characteristics of the targeted age group. Additionally, workshops were conducted to introduce new educational tools and resources developed by the foundation.

As part of the Eco-Schools sessions, students benefited from activities to familiarize themselves with robots through entertaining games, exploring how robots and modern technologies can serve the environment. For the Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE), their workshops were a hands-on opportunity to explore the 2023-2024 competition theme, with focus workshops under the supervision of experts in written article, photo and video reporting.

It is worth noting that the emphasis in this year’s edition is on innovation, motivation and constructive sharing of experiences, fostering an interactive discussion among various. This approach aims to enrich the common experience and enhance the overall improvement of future editions.
