The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and its Member States celebrate each year on October 16th, the World Food Day (WFD), which aims to raise awareness about the need for improved food security and nutrition to achieve the Zero Hunger goal by 2030.

On the sidelines of this day and in the framework of the letter of understanding signed on October 14th, 2016 in Rome, between the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection and The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), FAO Morocco and the Hassan II International Environmental Training Center, organized an awareness day around this year’s JMA theme: “Our Actions are our future: Helathy Diets for a #ZeroHunger World.

On this occasion, the Hassan II International Environmental Training Center hosted on Wednesday, October 16th, 2019, around a hundred children in preschool, primary and secondary Eco-Schools and Young Reporters for Environment programs that are conducted in partnership between the Foundation and the Ministry of National Education, and who participated in a friendly atmosphere to a plethora of activities, such as artistic, culinary or sensory workshops…

The day continued with a debate where renowned guests came to animate the reflection on nutrition and good eating habits, which ended with a sports walk in the exotic gardens of Bouknadel.
